Hakeem Ishola

Hakeem Ishola has been practicing law since 1991. He earned his undergraduate degree from Troy State University and graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1991. During law school, he served as an editor on the Utah Law Review and earned distinctions in legal writing, criminal law, and immigration.

Hakeem is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Utah. He began his career in 1988 as a clerk and later worked as an Associate at Yengich, Rich & Xaiz in Salt Lake City, Utah, until 1997. After leaving the firm, Hakeem launched his successful solo career and founded Ishola Law Firm, PC. In 2010, he partnered with Aaron Tarin to form Ishola-Tarin PLLC, where they led a team of seven experienced attorneys, representing clients from around the world in immigration matters and criminal defense.

In 2014, Hakeem founded Ishola Law Group, LLC, where he currently serves as managing partner and owner. In addition to his practice, Hakeem teaches an immigration law course at Salt Lake Community College and has been a lecturer at the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (UACDL) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
