BIO

Norma emigrated from Guadalajara, Mexico, at the age of 18. She entered the United States in 1988 without a visa, and in 1994, the U.S. government initiated deportation proceedings against her, which lasted 27 years. During that time, the immigration attorneys she hired told her that her case was impossible. In August 2021, Norma contacted attorney Ysabel Lonazco and, with much fear but also great faith, entrusted her case and her family’s future to Ysabel and her team. By October 2021, attorney Ysabel had successfully obtained residency for Norma, allowing her to finally visit her family in Mexico after 33 years. We are proud to have her as part of the Lonazco Law team, as she was one of the firm’s first “impossible” cases. We achieved her residency after 33 years under uncertainty. This experience inspired Norma to join the Lonazco Law team. Through her immigration journey, she now inspires those who come to our office with their own immigration paths.
